Hewlett-Packard Interim Chairman Whitworth resigns

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Hewlett-Packard’s Interim Chairman Rob Whitworth has resigned from the company’s board to focus on personal wellness issues.

Whitworth’s resignation is effective upon Wednesday. Personal pc maker HP stated that its table will discuss getting a new chief at its following meeting.

Whitworth grew to become HP’s interim chief in April 2013 after former chief Ray Lane walked down from their post.
