Google gives students an opportunity to 'change the world'

MANILA, Philippines – Google on Friday said it's accepting submissions for the Google Science Fair, which provides students the opportunity to explore their curiosity about science and technology.

The science fair, considered the greatest on earth, also opens doors for students to have a shot at changing the entire world using their science try out this year’s theme “It’s your turn to alter the entire world. ”

The science fair will soon be awarding the Computer Science Award to a project that champions innovation and excellence in neuro-scientific computer science.

A nearby award is likewise fond of projects that attempt to address a problem strongly related their community.


Your competitors is ready to accept students between ages 13 and 18.

“In some sort of driven forward by science and technology, it’s crucial that you celebrate the talent of our next generation of boffins and engineers, ” said Gail Tan, Google Philippines Country Communications Manager.

“We wish to spark strong interest and motion in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics because these fields shape their state of our society, ” Tan added.

Entries might be submitted until May possibly 12, with 90 regional finalists (30 finalists from each region of the entire world: Asia Pacific; Europe, the center East and Africa; and the Americas), Science for action finalists and Local Award winners to be announced on June 26.

The winners will soon be named on September 22, 2014.

The grand prize features a 10-day at the Galapagos Islands with National Geographic Expeditions, an one-of-a-kind experience at the Virgin Galactic Spaceport, and $50, 000 in scholarship funding.
