Philippines offers slowest, weakest cellular LTE link, states statement

MANILA, Philippines-The Philippines could be the country with the slowest connection and poorest coverage of LTE on earth, a phone application that measures internet speed said in a study.

In line with the February 2014 report “State of the LTE” by OpenSignal Inc., the Philippines has got the slowest LTE or Long haul Evolution connection one of the 16 countries surveyed, with 5. 3 Mbps (megabits per second), only alongside the usa with 6. 5 Mpbs.


“Australia has got the fastest average LTE speeds on earth, with america and the Philippines arriving the slowest of our qualifying countries, ” the report read.

One of the networks, Globe Telecom and Smart Communications have one of many poorest coverage and slowest connection of LTE in the survey.

Globe Philippines was even called “the worst performing network…” in line with the study.
“The South Korean and Hong Kong networks perform well for both metrics…
